Memorised report layouts

Reports are built by choosing columns, filters and a sort. Once you have one the way you want it, save the layout and call it back next month instead of rebuilding it.

  • Save any report layout under a name you choose.
  • Recall it and it rebuilds against current data, with the same columns, filters, sort and subtotals.
  • Keep several layouts of the same report — one for the board, one for the auditor, one for you.
  • Layouts are per user, so nobody else’s list gets cluttered with yours.
  • Edit or delete a saved layout whenever it stops being useful.
  • Saved layouts appear on the report screen they belong to, not in a separate menu to hunt through.

Saving and recalling a layout

  1. Build the report as usual and press Continue.
  2. On the result, press Save Report, give the layout a name and save. The filters, columns, sort and subtotal are stored under it.
  3. Next time, open the same report screen and pick the name from the Report selector at the top; press Continue and it rebuilds against today’s data.
  4. Recall a layout, change something and save it under the same name to update it, or a new name to keep both.
