Export

Nothing is locked in. Every report exports, every document prints to PDF, and the whole dataset is a PostgreSQL database you can take a dump of whenever you want.

• Export any report to CSV, with the columns you chose on screen.
• Print any report or document to PDF, from your own template.
• Export a payments file to hand to the bank instead of printing cheques.
• Download a full backup of the dataset from the control panel, on demand.
• The backup is a standard PostgreSQL dump — restorable on any PostgreSQL server, by anyone.
• Query the database directly for reporting, or point a spreadsheet or BI tool at a read-only connection.
• If you ever leave, you leave with everything, in a format that does not need us.

Getting data out

1. On any report result, the selectors at the foot choose the document (report or statement), the format (HTML, PDF, CSV) and the destination (screen, printer, email). Press Print or E-mail.
2. CSV carries exactly the columns you ticked on the report screen, so the spreadsheet needs no rearranging.
3. Documents — invoices, orders, cheques — export the same way from the screen that made them.
4. A full backup of the dataset is downloaded from the control panel dashboard; it is a PostgreSQL dump that restores anywhere.
